Hey, so long since I last blogged. Anyways, I went with my sis to watch Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer yesterday.
Arrrg... she was darn irrating blabbering about the stupid actors/actresses, their gossips, blah, blah, blah. I'm like... SHAB for once will ya... give me some peace!!!
Anyways, the movie wasn't as good as I'd expected. Thought the silver surfer would have some cool powers but nah!
Still, it was relatively enjoyable with some boring get-over-with-it scenes, like the part about disbanding the team in order to lead normal lives. Thats's so overdone. I mean, you have Spiderman fretting over such an issue too. And, it was so badly done. They wanted to make it look emotional and let's-all-grab-tissues-and-start-crying feeling in viewers but no way did they even get near there.
In addition, there were some really redundant scenes which they should have removed. Then again, the show was only 1.5 hrs, a little short for an action movie.
Wished they had
much much more action, though I really loved the scene when they were saving the London Eye. By the way, love Invisible Women's powers, cool CGI.
That reminds me... Sue Storm's hair was horrid. It was super straight... which looked kind of weird.

Let's not forget the fantasticar!!! Quite elegant and chic, but a little off the actual description from the comic book. Still, I'll love to have one of those.
Rating: ***
The usual average movie. Watch only if interested in Jessica Alba or Chris Evans. If not, skip it and save your $$$... you'd rather watch Power Rangers at home.

I used to think that Singapore has an excellent public transport system which is both convenient and reliable. But that was all in the past. Now, I've totally lost trust in Singapore's public transport system because I was gravely affected by these two incidents:
Incident 1: 13 June 2007, WednesdayI was rushing to somewhere. And when I say 'rushing', I mean frantically, desperately rushing. So I took the MRT to get to the somewhere. And guess what? The stupid train was like taking FOREVER to close the bloody doors and to mooooovvvvveeeee on. It finally did and things were cool again... until it reached the next station. Again, the same problem happened. It was like the train had cramps and couldn't close the freaking doors. After like 2min, which is considered long for a MRT, the doors slammed shut. But the crapy train still wouldn't budge a shit. OMGGGG. I could almost burst out swearing vulgarities. I mean - some people actually have to get on with life. Then came the announcement apologising for the delay. Curse that !^"&%.
Incident 2: 16 June 2007, SaturdayIt was raining madly that day. I was taking bus no. 12 to after TJC and change bus. The very coincidental thing was that bus no. 12 broke down at TJC. And, I repeat, it was raining cows and elephants (not just cats and dogs). What the hell happened to the bus, I'm not sure. But I think that the engine choked on the rain water or that the bus was just hydrophobic. So the bus driver gave the passengers a complimentary-ride ticket for another bus no. 12. Trying to redeem your grave sin? DREAM ON FOREVER ARSEHOLE!!! I mean it. So in the end, I ended up walking in the rain with my umbrealla because I didn't have time to wait for the other bus to board only one bus-stop distance.
Morale of the story? Grow up and get a car.
