I thought going back to my alma mater for Speech Day would be fun and exciting, especially to receive a prize. But I was soooo wrong! It was darn boooooring and a utter waste of time. Only had fun when I went out for dinner with LLH and Reuben. Anyways, here's a recap of my visit back to VS:Teachers: My goodness! Mdm Sharma looked like she had just been extremely made over!!! She's managed to lose those spare tires and has the Ms Low hairstyle which looks great on her. You go girl!Believe it or not, Ms Leow's fashion sense is getting better! She wore this silky dark blue dress may appear simple but yet sophisticated. Sadly, she matched her dress with a dull pair of shoes with socks?!?! She seriously needs to consult a fashion psychologist... Met the three 'angles with dirty faces'. They looked as snobish and bimbotic as ever. Typical.Unintentionally saw Sensei Nakazawa. No wonder the horoscope said that today was my unlucky day.
Concert: First up was the indian dancers. Ewww... they reminded me of prancing ballerinas forlicking on the stage, minus the graceful. And they were flailing their sashes and 'pizza pans' like idiots. Wushu was next. Exciting but too short. VS wushu team has really grown a lot. Keep it up guys! After that was the malay dance performance. And I have something to tell them, 'Quit making a din!!!' The hellish performance was followed by the Chinese Orchestra. It was surprisingly pleasant... I mean it! Followed by a sentimental and emotional somg from the VS choir. So touching.... The band played a fast number. Well, they never fail to entertain me. Friends: Wayne and Shawn have become so violent.... Good luck to you two for not becoming gangsters.
And our dear little Li Hsuan has grown and matured tremondously. The principle even praised him for his Weiqi achievements in his speeh (which I, confess, did try and ridicule his Weiqi dream) . I was like reeling from shock when the principle even metioned his name. You have seriously grown from a tiny taiwanese baby into a taiwanese boy Li Hsuan. But, I still find you awfully spastic and black.
And after my visit back, I somehow realised that I miss VS. Not only the friends there (whom I madly miss), but also the teachers, and school as a whole. Whatever it is, good luck to VS and I wish you all the best!!! Tata my old school, I will never forget you!
