Teachers' Report Card

O.o...New year, new school, new class..and of course new TEACHERS!

GP: Epic failure! Bendi Fenta Ferosh's (nick name) hobby - droning on and on and on and on although no one really pays any attention to him. I've actually tried to keep my ears perked up, but his incessant rambling just puts me back to sleep. Plus, his face is totally expressionless... he carries with him this monotonous look and talks as though he's talking to himself. Get a life man! seriously!

Maths: Mrs OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) I call her. She needs to be in control and in the know of every little minute detail. Including daily attendance, who has already volunteered to present the math tut questions, the time, etc... But then again, that's a good thing cause she explains math questions really well.

Chem: She's.... interestingly 'hot n cold'. My first lesson with her was scccaarrryyy cause she appeared to be intimidating, weird, fierce, grumpy, and cranky. But as the days went by, I actually realised that she was a rather nice teacher... although sometimes she appears lethargic which in turn makes me lethargic. Bleh! But I stilll hate chem (esp lectures).

Bio: My bio teacher's my CT! And she's super nice to the extent of appearing 'naive and ignorant'... lol. Low threat cause she is unlikely to have scolded or will be scolding anyone in her life...haha!

Geog: Whhooots! I got Katherine, the English teacher! Another uber nice teacher with an accent to die for... lol at least to me it is. What's so cool is that I'm always so intrigued by her accent that I practise speaking like a British during her lessons. lol!

PW: Slack period. Nice teacher. Lenient attitude. Strict with marking though...she said it herself.

And I thought they would be different...better than the others. Guess not.

Somehow, I've been really really let down by people in the last few months. Why can't everyone just open up their harderened hearts and learn to love people around them. Learn to love unconditionally, learn to accept them for who they are, learn to love just as God has loved us.

Throw away the criticisms, the complains, the negative thoughts, the talking-behind-others-back. I have always been told: Never judge others. Because we are never holy and blameless enough to have the right to judge others. That is the job of God. Instead judge yourselves and take the responsibility of your actions because God will likewise be judging you.

Love your friends they say. Everyone can do that. Instead, garner the courage and determination to love your enemy, love those who seemingly piss you off. Because only then can you say that you have truly loved unconditionally.

And isn't that what fellowship is all about, based on love. If we aren't able to love one another, how will we be able to love others?

All I hope for is for everyone to take the initiative to love and show care and concern for one another equally. You might say its childish and imposible, but still I look forward to the day where everyone is excited to come to church every Sunday.

I've been loved before, and I appreciate it. And because of that, I wanna give to others what others have given to me. Trust me, open up your hearts, dare to love others, you will feel loved yourself.

Saturday's finally over! YES!!! It was a rather bittersweet moment for me at least when we (Youth & Teen Vine Fellowship) finally showcased our weeks of hard work to the public...

It was also a rather touhing moment for me too cause did not have much confidence playing the role which I was assigned to at first. But thanks to all the encouragement (whether verbal or written) by my fellow church members and other peers that I managed to overcome my insecurities.

But most importantly, praise the Lord for making the whole musical a success, and thank Him for the immense comfort and providence that He has given to me for the many times that I have came to him throughout this whole process.

I did not do this musical for myself, nor for anybody else.

I did it for the greatest audience of all, God himself, and I'm sooooooo glad that I did so...

I helped sow the seeds... and I thank the Lord for this opportunity to make me realise that 'all is possible with Him'.

Dear God,

Please give me the same faith that you have given me in this last few months to last for the following year ahead. Teach me to continue to turn my eyes and fix my gaze upon you as you guide me through a challenging and daunting year ahead. Pray for me not to be afraid but instead strengthen my faith in you. Take my wheel O Lord, and give me the courage, hope, faith and leadership as you lead me to fulfil your plan for me and for the our new tuan qi. Amen.

Good Morning Upper East Siders,

Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elites.

Surprise, surprise, yesterday was the first time in many many years when moi took a little trip down the MRT North-West line to Choa Chu Kang! And believe or not, those Upper West Siders looked so alien and whore-rific to me, as though they were some wierd genetic mix...

And furthermore, the west part of Singapore was so scarily underdeveloped (compared to the East of course) with so many possible slum and squatter settlements in the constrcution sites and maybe even more guerilla groups ambushed in the unkempt forested areas...

Worst, their shopping malls were fake Parkway Parade/Tampiness Mall wannabes. There was a crazy and disorderly flow of human traffic due to poor layout of the mall. But worst still, the air was induced with intense ions which kept giving my friends and I static shocks whenever we brushed past against one another. I swear that there was at least 5 times when we experience the such sudden discharges!

Not to discriminate against Westerners or anything, but I still prefer the 'yelllow fever' going on at the other side of the world. After all....

Good Morning Upper East Siders,

Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elites!

Today was a totally fun and retarded day as R, X, and M went window shopping for furniture at the ever-so-wonderful megastore *drumroll* IKEA!!!

They transformed into the ultimate interior design gurus as they started naming and rating the showrooms on a piece of IKEA paper using the IKEA pencils. And they gave them wierd/witty/retarded names, i.e. Perspective kitchen, Martha Stewart kitchen, Skanky High-class KTV lounge, Honeycomb room, Dolly Parton kitchen, etc....

Ooooh...some of the rooms were hot, while others were...sadly not!

Then, at the 'Winter Spa' showroom, they were inspired by the (wax) apples and did a little cooking demonstration, the Rachael Ray style. They did everything they could with the existing insturments there and created their yummy Christmas apple meal consisting of apple pie, apple juice, apple stew, apple steamboat, apple pasta, apple soup. The best part was when they laid the already pretty table with utensils and crockery and displayed their wonderful apple creations together with the vodka they stole from the 'Lonely Paradise for Bachalors' showroom nextdoor.

It was like a major scaled up version of masak masak.

So yup, today was exhilarating but tiring. But continue watching this space for more controversial soundbites from your one and only....

She and her wonderful elective has been getting on my freakin' nerves. There is always some form of weird assignement every week... I don't even have as much LA homework....

And she is always criticising on our performance:
'We need RESPONSES people!', 'Please use your ethical theories...', 'Don't be so superficial, analyse deeper', 'Work on your presentation skills please', etc...

And goodness, she is like the queen of email spamming, sending junk stuff to our emails and always ending off with her characteristic 'Cheerios, EL'. I mean like WHATEVER!!!! Nothing is ever cheery with you around.

My goodness, I just can't wait to stuff food bolus into her mouth to shut her up once and for all... I just can't stand the way she treats us... like how badly she treats her hair by abusing them with gaudy coloured dye. How I wish they could all take revenge one day and start growing on her armpits and face.

Plus, she really needs to stare at the title of this blog: Vital Knowledge to Saving the Environment! and STOP wasting mahjong paper.

Conclusion: She needs both an EXTREME MAKEOVER & an ATTITUDE MAKEOVER, pronto...before she starts driving us (her students) mad!!!

Darn, I realised that I made one stupid careless mistake which cost me 3 marks out of 15 marks.

What I can't stand is the fact that my chem grades can never get better no matter how much determination and effort I put in. It has been declining steadily since the start of this year. Worst of all, I'm am forced to take chem as my subject combo next year. Yucks...not that I hate it or anything...

Bleh! Hope that my QAs would pull my CA2 marks wayyyy upppp. I seriously need a miralcle to save me from this mole of shit!

As I wallowed into the room, carefully closing the door behind me. I gawked in surprise at the class immersing themselves in notes and worksheets. Never in my life have I seen the class studying so enthusiastically and diligently. Unless there was a test coming up of course...but there wasn't any....was there?

I could feel my pressure rising and my heart beating faster. I took a nervous gulp of my saliva and pressed my sotmach gently for comfort. Confidently, I walked up to one of my classmate and peeped over his shoulder.

'What are you doing?' I asked tactfully. My voice held back by the worry and fear of what I was expecting.

'What? You kidding me? LA exam is starting in just 10 min. And I still cannot remember anything about those freaking identiy theories and also I am also gonna screw up my AQ case I haven't.....'

A wave of shock slapped me hard on my face. My heart almost skipped a beat as I found myself string blankly at the malignent clock overhead. I could almost see its hands cringing into a murderous grin, snarling viciously. 5 more miutes, no 4 and a half more minutes....

My hands grew cold with numbness and my cheerful face melted into the eptitomy of fear. I was at a lost. What was I to do? I didn't even study anything about LA. I cannot fail this EOY LA paper or /i would be screwwwed!!!

As I felt hot tears rolling down my cheecks, I shut my eyes for momentarily comfort....

And I bravely forced open my eyes, read to face the world and make the best out of the worst. But all I saw was myself in dark room, facing a familiar white wall. Only then did I realise that it was all a dream, a nightmare. And all I could do was hope that it would never come true...

Guess the exam fears are creeping up to me heh!

My ties with the electronic technology world is way off!!! Just within a week, and I had two unfortunate events with it.

Firstly, I mysteriously lost my GC (graphic calculator), which costs a bomb. The thing was that I did not take my GC out from my bag for the whole week as it was out of batteries. But somehow, while I was packing my bag one afternoon, I realised that the bulky, grey-coloured block of electronic device was no where to be found.

Then later on during the week, I found that two buttons on my handphone were damaged. They didn't seem to work no matter how hard I jabbed them.

Get Smart...get really smart

My blogposts these few days has been all about movies..but whatever...

Anyways, Get Smart was a weird movie. It was something between an action movie with a comedy. As in there was more action but less humour than expected. So I felt I got lost in the movie as I couldn't decide if I was to be wowed by the jokes or the action/fighting moves.

Plus, the plot actually makes sense. And Max (in the movie) was not rlly such a 'bumbling nincompoop'. He could freakin do splits and his analytic prowess were exceptional. I thought that his success would be all based on luck and luck alone. I guess this was where the comedy part fell short of. They sacrificed humour for an action-based plot. And Max was much too serious... I expected him to be a little more goofy and crazy...

Though they could have upped the humour factor by introducing a funny bad-guy... sadly they did not. And the plot was about uranium/nuclear bombs... the kind of plot which 007 has excelled in. It should have been something like laughing bombs or evil robot Disney toys or anything more uniquely humorous. Though I do appreciate certain modern day references in their jokes.

Personally, I got attracted to the action part more than the jokes... how disappointing for a self-proclaimed comedy... or perhaps I had already laughed my ass off while watching the trailers.

Indiana Jones & The Overexaggerated Sequel

Don't bother catching this semi-horror, semi-action/adventure flick cause it is really horrid.

The iconic image of Jones have been so overplayed to the extent of 'duh! ... whatever'. But perhaps its forgivable because it would be the last movie starring Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones.

The worst part was the plot, which was confusing and messed up. All I gathered from watching the movie was something about an ugly crystal skull and the city of gold aka knowledge... period.

And there always has to be these sterotypes in the Indiana Jones movies:
1. Indiana Jones...like duh!
2. Some love interest... as always
3. A betrayer
4. North Korea, China, Russia or Germany as the antagonist
5. Greed (for money or knwoledge or power)as the enemy's downfall
6. Many unrealistic close death encounters

Now that a new character has been added (i.e. Shia Lebeouf in case you didn't know), I'm sure the story wouldn't get any better.

A very funny thing that 'entertained' me the whole of yesterday....

There was this bee who kept flying around in my house and kept harassing me while I was watching TV. And considering the fact that I freak out whenever I see a creepy crawly within a 5 metre radius, I had to get up and escape from the insect every now and then.

My sister kept telling me and my brother that 'the bee's not gonna sting you if you don't disturb it'. The funny thing is that the bee's sting is not the only phobia I have. What I fear is that the bee flying into my mouth or ears and that would be really disgusting. I mean, bees (as insects) have those mosaic eyes which I'm sure doesn't give them very good eyesight.

But eventually, we still killed the bee with a swift shot of the bugspray (and some excessive and malicious ones to make sure that it was dead and stayed dead).

Don't think of this as murderous or sadistic. Cause only dogs, cats, etc are adorable enough to not be put to death.... but insects on the other hand, look better dead.

Back from Batam

The church camp @ Harris Resort,Batam, has got to ROCK!

Food: **

Though the food was really horrid because it was always the same Chinese food served meal after meal. I mean, we're in Batam (i.e. Indonesia) and they could have served more indonesian stuff instead of boooring chinese food. But the hotel's specialty butter cookie roxxx! Lol.

Hotel Facilities: ****

They had like quite alot of facilities like foot reflexology, massage, a pool (...duh), bowling, spa, gym, even flying fox, and a pizza palour etc... I didn't really explore the place much and didn't really use much of its facilities though.

Hotel Room: ****

Maybe its actually quite average-ish but what I love about the room is the couch (its super comfy). And I get to stay with my brother while my parents slept in another room.

Service: ****

My dad says that they're quick and alert in clearing plates during the meal service. But the best part was the live band playing for us during dinner times! And they played songs in al languages - English, Chinese, Indonesian. Plus they also invited people on the stage to sing which was really fun!

Staff: *****

The staff seriously rule!!! And surprisingly or not, most of them are super young...like early 20s. And even the chambermaids are very friendly. They always say hello or at least smile at you whenever you walk past. Some of them can even speak Chinese and some dialects.

Messages: ***

All about knowing God, growing as a Christian, serving God, and showing/testifying God's love. The speaker looks grumpy at time though... oops

Youth Group Discussions: ****

We really got to know each other more and also interacted closely with the younger ones. :)

All in all, Harris Resort is a really resort-like place where the focus is on the outdoor activities instead of indoor comfort living. But ultimately, the camp really reminded me that we should all 为主而活 (Live for God)

free cone day... GO AWAY!!!

Ben&Jerry's used to be one of my favorite ice creams. 'USED' to be. Especially after the time when they REJECTED moi!!!!!!!

Anyways, it was 29th April, a Tuesday, their B&J Free Cone Day. And I intentionally diverted my route to White Sands because I thought of patronizing B&J (actually it was because of the free ice creams). Anyways, I got totally FREAKED OUT when I saw that the queue stretched for miles and miles and miles... you get the drift. And then it was like immediately 'I'm sooo out of here!'... and I was. I cannot manage to understand how people could queue for soooo long (approximately 20 min) for one pathetic cone of ice cream. How cheap could they get? I should have went up to the counter and say

'Ex-xe-cuise moi! Make way for me, I'm going to buy an ice cream instead of queuing of it because I actually have money. And by the way *shoot them a nasty look* do y'all need 60cents for your bus fare home?'

So I walked around and caught sight of my friend (Reuben). And we technically wasted our time away in White Sands (somehow despite its boring-ness) and at Burger King. Then after that, we went back to B&J and we initially thought the queue drastically shortened!!! Euphoria enveloped us at first. BUT, when we reached the end of queue, we saw this be-yotch raising a yellow plastic hand (which looked like a swollen hand infected with jaundice) with the words 'I'm last in queue', meaning 'get lost the promotion is over cheapskates.' Arrggg... and it was only 7 pm!!! NOT FAIR!!! Then it was a cursing session for me and my friend i.e. we hoped that her hand would lose blood circulation from holding it striaght up and then start to rot and drop off.

So, ultimately, FREE CONE DAY IS SO FULL OF S**T

In the light of current SC nominations, I've decided to write my own speech even though I do not intend to participate in this pointless election. Btw, I'm up for bribes =) Anyone interested?

Hola all the IP people out there. my name's Moses and I am soooo happy to be out here proving my competency and passion for the SC elections. *flashing my really real fake smile*

Well, I guess that I would like to start off with a life maxim which sets my guidelines for living life the way I do. And it is: Nobody is Perfect... except ME!!! :) =) xD XO

Anyways, I feel that you all should really vote for me because the rest are just unable to make it. Not only are they incompetent but there are also really fake. I mean they all come out saying things pleasing to the teacher's ears when what we really need is a true and honest voice to represent the whole of IP. Oh, and did I mention, they SUCK UP to teachers too!!!

I mean seriously, which idiot in the world would really bother about NOT EATING IN CLASS! Huh-loooow, even the teachers bring food to the staffroom to eat... and they dare reprimand us for eating in class? Where is the justice in this world? Simple, its misplaced just because of voting for the wrong persons.

And, would you really care so much about Big Ideas and EUs that your whole life depended on them? Well, I know the Elaines do... And how would feel if a munchkin was standing in front of you trying to levitate a globe so that he can hypnotise students into laughing at his un-hilariously lame jokes about Newton and the crazy Physics World he's obsessed with? I would definitely feel pissed off! And I haven't even went into how some teachers ought to control their monthly depressions before coming to school to teach.

And the super huge topic of debate would be the Beyond Borders trip to Korea... I guess I've said enough.

Someone once said: VIP is about opportunities. Yeah right, in your dreams! VIP is about stressing a handful of them and leaving the inconspicuous rest to rot away in a corner. They keep recycling people to do stuff... And if I ever become an IP SC, I would share the opportunity to lead with others who are equally passionate about the the project.

And those who really enjoy Electives please raise your hand... I mean, could the teachers please put more effort in preparing the elective lessons for us. They're supposed to be non-academic and interesting and fun. Qualities which I have yet to experience in my Electives...

Last but not the least, who is really disappointed with the constant and sudden changes with our IH topics? I was looking forward to being introduced to Econs but guess what? The econs teacher just left... and that's the explanation they expect us to accept.

To sum things all up, if you really want a better environment to study and work in, then vote for me, cause I'm gonna make visons come true and turn things back up the way it is supposed to. :)

I don't HATE Service Learning. But why must they conduct a 3 Day 1 Night camp just for it? And all I experienced was boredom... and lots of cheating during the games too...hehe

Anyways, here's a review of the major activities/games:

Great Grand Prix
It wasn't GREAT, it wasn't GRAND, and it sure wasn't a PRIX. I mean what do you call it when idiots (not me) run in some pathetic newspaper composed thing? And if Flintstones' automobile was an invention of the stoneage, our inventions would belong to the before-stoneage era... even more degrading and ancient then ever.

Team Challange (Catapult Building)
Darn LAME! Anyways, everyone else copied OUR idea of using a chair and rubber bands to create elastic tension in rubber bands and when released will convert the massive potential energy into kinetic energy of the water balloon. Ok, that sounded soooo Mr Boy-ish. Anyways, almost everyone's machine failed. What does that prove? Mr Boy failed at teaching as Physics ;P

Mona Lisa
I have nothing to say about this cause I ponned the entire activity! Firstly because I kept losing sight of my group members and secondly because it was soooooo NOISY!!! I could go deaf if I stayed in there any longer... I felt that the game was innovative and creative. My only issue with it was that it was not a group game and yet we played it in groups of 10. -,-

Murder Mayhem
Quite fun! Especially with the opportunity to bullshit about Paris Hilton death...LOL!!! The only pissifying thing about it was the pipe activity where I had to block the holes and unintentionally GET MYSELF TOTALLY DRENCHED!!! *on the verge of screaming in anger*

Quite an interesting group with people like Moses Lee... who was the blunt of all our jokes because of his lame-ness and slight (that was a gross understatement) retardedness.

Food!!!!!
The food was like meant for a king.......NOT!!!! It tasted really HORRIBLE beyond imagination. Anything would have been much better...

And by the way, the food caterer was KG Catering Services (so seriously, avoid purchasing food from them)

All in all, I learnt very little about Service Learning though it was a good class-bonding time... and that I learnt about some other things too.........XO

It was fun-er than expected... though it ended really late....

Anyways, I teamed up with only Gerald for the whole cooking lesson thingy, though there were ideally supposed to be a 4-man group. Pros: We get to eat MORE!!! :) Con: We have to work MORE!!! :(

First. there was this napkin folding excercise. McDonalds (such a stupid name... did he give the name to himself?!?!?) was in charge of this part of the lesson. Rather ok but it made us look like waiter undergraduates. NEWSFLASH: I don't usually serve, I AM served!!! lol, jst jking

Then, there was this Thai chef who thought as fruit carving: he made us do a rose (tomato skin), leaves (pear & carrot). He made many jokes during the lesson which NO ONE could understand... seriously... but I don't blame him, after all English isn't his first language. Gerald & I obviously slaked. We only made 1 rose, 3 carrots and 2 pears... :P

Then the most exciting yet stressful part came, when we had to cook our own lunch!!! I mean, if we screwed this up, then we would have to go hungry..:( (and I usually get cranky when I'm hungry)

Anyways, the recipe for the day was chicken, mash potato, Thai-style 'popiah', and some syrup for the ice cream.

So we started chopping all the spices... actualy it was mostly done by Gerald to be exact. But no matter how hard he tried, he could not chop them down to a small enough size... But my job was worse... I HAD TO MASSAGE (YES, M-A-S-S-A-G-E) THE FREAKING DEAD CHICKEN WITH SOY SAUCE AND STUFF!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOXO *screaming my lungs out!* It was sooooooo grossssss.... and pervertic too.... And the chicken was sooooo cold that my hands were FREEZING! Brrrr!

Then we did the syrup thingy by randomly tossing the ingredients into the boiling water and waiting for it to crytallise.

Meanwhile, we did the 'popiah' by cutting all the vegies into matchsticks and arranging them onto the 'popiah' skin. It tasted HORRIBLE by the way!

LAstly, we had mash potatoes. Gerald kept adding sugar to the mash potato while I kept adding pepper. So what do you get when you put a sugar-addict and a pepper-addict together? Not PowerPuff Girls but really tasty mash potatoes!!! :)

And of course the most enjoyable part was the eating where we (moi & Gerald) had the privilege of devouring a 4-servings meal!!! Yummy Yum Yum!!!

P.S. Lemon grass drink tastes OK but smells like LEMON SHAMPOO! Major ewww... XP

Hola everyone out there! Sry for not blogging regularly and to Jonathan & other 07V11s, sry for not being able to attend Jon's farewell party... :( Anyways, hope you guys had fun, fun, and even more fun. I wasn't able to go because I was really really busy this last few weeks of Dec.

Firstly, I had to help in the church musical thingy. My lighting part was very last-minute-ish cause we could only use the practise on the actual location for only a few rehearsals. It was really frightening at first because we still could not get the lighting right even on the day just before the actual performance. But in the end, every thing turned out (near) perfect. Yipee! Glory to God!

Secondly, there's this church youth camp from the 27th to the 29th of Dec. And I was part of the planning committee. Anyways, the camp was fairly successful and I truly learnt alot about God from the camp. The reason why I couldn't go for Jon's farewell party was because we had a barbecue on that night and also that I had to help lead the worship session that evening.

Anyways, the inconvenience in rehearsing the musical and the camp surprisingly had brought me much closer to God. I had to admit that I had drifted away from God in the last few months but the first motivation to come back to Him was when I experienced dissensions and arguments about how the musical should be run. Me & other backstage crew had to come like from 3pm to 10pm on Fri and from 10am to 10pm on Sat to practise. Added on to the stress of helping to clean up the house for our extended family-gathering thing, it was really a busy period for me. But this probelm gave me a chance to pray for God and ask for strength to carry on and when the musical turned out extremely well, I felt that God was indeed with me throughout my troubles. Then came the camp where, with my newfound faith, I learnt even more about how God loves us and will take care of us if we are willing to let 'Jesus, Take My Our Wheel' (that's our camp title btw, lol). Especially during the sharing session at the end of the camp where tears were brimming my eyes when everyone shared their experience with God to encourage one another. It was a really touching moment for many of the youths and teenagers there and I'm actually glad that I cried because it proved that the Holy Spirit was with me. So all of these were very timely which helped me strengthened my faith in God!!!! Praise the Lord!!! Yipeee!

I believe that now I'm a more sensitive Christian and that God has put me through these struggles to test my faith. And I'm really glad that I've succeeded... xD

Thus I pray for all other Christians out there to come unto the Lord and to be able to continuously encounter God to affirm his presence in all of us.

After a rather belated attempt at my Maths homework, I found out about a really weird Maths question from Trigonometry 3b Homework Ques 3:

You have been tasked to estimate the height of an old tower. You have only a meter rule and a clinometer (which measures the angle of inclination - you need to read up to understand this term) with you.
In addition, you canot move into the moat as legend has it that a serpent lurks there (it has destroyed the only bridge leading to the tower.

The above can be depicted in the diagram below...
Describe how you would go about taking measurements and estimating the height of the old tower. You should define your unknowns clearly in you explanation and bonus will be given to strategies with minimal number of measurements taken.

The first unknown was what a clinometer was. I defined it as a really complicated instrument which I did not even bother to read-up on.

The next unknown was a serpent. I defined it as a really ugly-looking snake-like thingy resembling a cross between the Basilisk and Ms Toh. And since my serpent was a female, she would have lipstick (the brand that Mr Lin uses) on her to seduce the he-serpent.

Also, I would define the 'you' in the question as someone who would be soooooo retarded as to prefer wasting their time on useless things like measuring the height of the tower when I would rather explore it instead.

And with the definitions done, I would move on to go about taking measurement and blah, blah, blah...

STEP 1: Use my cellphone to go online to the babelfish website and translate 'May I please know how tall this tower is Ms Serpent?' from English to Parseltongue.

STEP 1: Goggle 'height of an old tower with serpent in the moat'

STEP 1: Call NASA to take a satellite picture of the tower and use scale reading to determine the height.

My church is producing this Christmas musical thingy... which is NOT about the Christmas story. Its a romance tragedy where they emphasize on God's love. Its on the 22nd Dec at BPMC (Bethesda Pasir Ris Mission Church in Pasir Ris like duh!) at 7.30pm!!!

Anyways, I'm supposed to do the lighting stuff and its soooooooo fun! Especially when I get to flash them like in the disco!!! YAY!

There will be 3 songs and the whole musical will be mostly in Chinese but at the bilingual age we're in, obviously alot of English involved too! :)

Not so Silent Night

The concert was overall quite FUN. The songs played were mostly happy and non-emo... phewww. Though the tuba part had a lullabic (is there such a word?!?!) sensation to it... in simple terms, BORINGLY SLEEPY!

And the skit was passable ...though a little too corny! They should have made it a !!!!!!!!!!!!musical!!!!!!!!!!!!! instead...

And thank goodness for the Disney songs (i.e. Colours of the Wind, the Disneyland marching tune thingy!!!). When the Disneyland marching tune was played, I imagined Mickey Mouse and Goofy (lol!) and Vanessa Anne Hudgens (...not!) marching along...

Minus the bits of gliches here and there, it was a great and unique experience worth moi 10 bucks.

They used to be a super popular pop music group but they split in 2004. How sad... I'm so gonna miss their music...

America's Next Top Model
Shucks! Deon aka Wholahay (I LURVE this name) aka Brown has left been eliminated from the competition... Its such a pity she left since she is a really retardedly funny person. But to be honest, she doesn't really have the top model potential...

So, we are now left with the final 3: Renee, Jaslyn (is that how you spell her name?), Natasha. And this is my personal evaluation of the gals:
Renee - I can see the words 'America's Next Top Model' on her face and I feel that she really has what it takes (with all her wonderful poses and stuff)... The only issue I have with her is her seemingly cold-heartedness. She is so emotionless that I almost mistook her for a robot programmed to walk the runway... XO Miss, I know you have your family issues and stuff, but no one is gonna like you (as a person) if you pull a looooong face the whole day... it gives you wrinkles too XO
Jaslyn - She's undeniably one of the favourites, but I just can't stand her. She looks really fake to me and also VERY VERY desperate... And by the way, is she aneroxic? Because she does look like one...
Natasha - Pull up your socks girl, cause you know that you're the weakest compared to the others in the finale. And she really has to pray that she wouldn't fall ill on the day itself... or her modelling would be adversely affected... yet again. Somehow, I still don't understand how having a fever would affect your modelling that bad... unless of course, the fever fried some of your brain cells and you entered into a state of temporary incompetency.... XO

Prediction: Though I don't really like her personality, I'd say Renee would win this competiton.

The Amazing Race 12
Minus the title itself, I find this show a tremondous and wonderful success and would seriously encourage everyone to watch. Although it is already well into its 12th season, the new and different participants and challenges never fail to excite me...unlike some other shows namely Deal or No Deal 2. So take a look below for my evaluation on the remaining teams:

Kynt & Vyxsin: Surprise, surprise, I actually like the goth couple. They may appear disturbing on the outside but they are actually nice people... REALLY nice people (and I'm not being sarcastic). But there is a sort of gender-roles reversal issue (i.e. the female is more masculine, while the male is more feminine)

Ronald & Christina: They're such an embarrassment to Chinese people... booo... though their father-daughter relationship seems to be improving... hopefully

Azaria & Hendekea: They're good people and competitors too, and they definitely have the potential to be the top 3. However, it is somewhat observed that there is a 'curse' where the consistent performers in throughout the race (which means them) will never win the million dollar prize....................

Nathan & Jennifer: They're funny to watch, especially Jennifer, because of their 'trust' issues!!! Haha!

Nicolas & Donald: A surprise that they stayed so long in the race... and Granddad, you've got to tone down on your sexual hormones...The Amazing Race is after all a family show...

Shana & Jennifer: The typical dumb blondes... though they might have their dumb luck too... who knows?

TK & Rachel: The hippie team... with a really really bad bad sense of direction. Do you really need a guide dog to bring you ten steps away from where you are now?

Lovvvvvve this show!!! Its so humiliating to adults!! Yipeeeee!!!! And the host is really sarcastic though he can be worser... and the kids are just soooooo smart and hilarious!!!

Bee Smart, Don't Watch The Bee Movie

I went to Shaw House to catch the The Bee Movie with my family. Wasn't really looking forward to it... I prefer watching The Golden Compass (the polar bear is sooo cool and cuddly).

Btw, I went to Borders before that and saw a book called The Unauthorised Harry Pottter. Its a book which examines J.K Rowling's major hit series. I mean there was this one whole chapter dedicated to questioning what Dumbledoor is in charge of as the Headmaster. Yes we all know that he has been out searching for horcruxes... but I mean what else does he do behind those doors?

Oh! And there's this board game called Dilbert which is something about slacking employees... sounds soooo fun!!!

Ok...enough digressing. Back to the topic. The Bee Movie's plot was simply stupid, stupid, stupid and stupid. Its about a bee (called Barry) who realised that Man has been trapping bees and using them to make honey for themselves. Being infuriated by the fact that Man simply 'steal' the honey which bees work throughout their lives for, he decides to SUE the human race. Oh and there's this florist (I forgot her name) who helps Barry in getting justice done. So in the end, the bees won the case and honey production is immediately ceased. Which means NO MORE HONEY ON OUR WAFFLES!!! Lets all cry.... Also, all honey is confiscated and returned to the rightful owners... bees. The usually busy bees now turn lazy as they have AMPLE amounts of honey left for them. And you think that that was the end? Ha...no way! Without the need to make honey anymore, bees don't go out to collect pollen from flowers. Flowers now face pollination issues where no bees help to transfer the pollen from the he-plant to the she-plant (we all learnt that in primary school remember?) And the flowers are dying.... Boooooo. And Barry and his accomplice the florist-woman intends to illegally import flowers into the country for re-pollination. And like every other movie...they obviously succeed.

Firstly, if I ever see a bee or a mosquito or a cockroach or a beetle or a.... (you get the point), I'll scream my lungs out and run for my life. NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE WOULD I BE SEEN FRATERNALIZING AND ASSOCIATING WITH AN INSECT. Why? Because bugs bug me... period. So I can't understand how the florist gal managed to even approach Barry.

Also, can a bee actually talk? And can he actually sue us? I don't think that is part of his Animal Rights. So screwwww the puny little thing (bees remind me of VS PE T-shirt anyways...yuck)

Oh and btw, bees aren't that crucial in pollination of flowers. There are other pollinators like butterflies, ants, even humans, etc... In fact, flowers can be pollinated by other means (i.e. wind, water, etc)

Moral of the story: Heed my advice and don't bother watching the Bee Movie...XO
